Paint Protection Film is designed to stop rock chips, love bugs, and any road debris from damaging the paint of the vehicle. Since the Model S came out in 2012 we have learned a lot about the Tesla customer and the most common packages they purchase with Auto Paint Guard. Tesla paint is very soft and can scratch easily. For this reason, about 40% of our customers choose to have the entire car covered in paint protection film. This allows for easier washing and complete peace of mind while driving and parking car in parking lots. Below are some popular options by model.
- Model S: Most Tesla S owners go with our highway package which includes, full front, lights, mirrors, lower rockers, behind rear wheels, luggage and pillars.
- Model 3: The Model 3 customer usually goes with full front with lights, mirrors and luggage kit.

For the customer who is seeking perfect paint and high gloss with ease of maintenance, this process is for you.
For Tesla owners, since the paint from the factory has a lot of swirls and sanding marks, this is very popular option if you want high shine and easier maintenance. The coatings can be applied to paint, film, glass and wheels.
We take the time to remove all swirls, sanding marks and other factory blemishes. This will bring out the depth in your paint. The next step is to use a ceramic coating which will give your paint more shine, higher gloss, and makes the paint hydrophobic and lastly will eliminate waxing up to 7 years.
We carry multiple brands of ceramic coatings. Our favorite is Gtechniq Crystal Serum.

Warranty
Most paint protection films come with a 5-10 year warranty. We typically recommend bringing the vehicle back in 4.5-5 years for an inspection of the film. Depending on use of car and how much sun exposure the film will have dictates on how long the film should stay on your car. If the car was driven hard and in the sun a lot we will recommend removing the film and replacing under warranty. If replacement is recommended, we will charge a removal fee, however the replacement will be covered under warranty.
