We had the opportunity to work on this new BMW M4. Customer dropped vehicle off for several days to get the following completed.
Paint Protection Film:
After discussions and weighing all of the pros and cons between brands of films we decided to install Xpel Ultimate paint protection film over this entire BMW M4. The Xpel Ultimate has great shine, very clear and easy to clean. Luckily Xpel had templates already designed for this new vehicle. We take the pre-cut templates a step further by modifying all of the edges to be wrapped. This allows the film to be hidden for a cleaner look. By covering the entire car with paint protection film, this allows for easier washing, protection from rocks, scratching and other road debri that can damage your paint.
Paint Sealant For The Film:
After the car was fully protected by Xpel Ultimate, we went ahead and sealed the film with Opti-Coat Pro. The Opti-Coat makes the film even easier to clean and more importantly allows the film last longer. The Opti-Coat is like Rain X for your film. Definition for Opti-Coat is: “Opti-Coat (Opti-Guard) is a hard wearing, aftermarket, ceramic clear coat for superior resistance to scratching (9H) and chemical etching from environmental impacts. It provides permanent protection for all factory paints, and can also be applied to exterior glass, metal and hard plastic surfaces.”
Window Tint:
Since this car will be driven on a daily bases, the customer wanted not only the film to look good but also to provide heat rejection. We decided to go with 3M Color stable on the sides and back.
